Glen Ellyn History Center to welcome Mark Twain

Local actor Terry Lynch portrays Mark Twain in "Between Two Comets: The Life of Mark Twain" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn.

The Halley's Comets of 1835 and 1910 coincided with Twain's life. During that time he penned some of the most interesting, beloved and controversial literature of the 19th century.

Lynch shares Twain's life, writings, his struggle to support his family with his work and to be accepted by society.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for Glen Ellyn Historical Society members, and $5 for students 18 and younger.
