After years of pursuit, Chicago White Sox sign Luis Robert
The Chicago White Sox made it official on Saturday. After scouting Luis Robert for the last five years, the Sox signed the 19-year-old outfielder to a minor-league contract, which included a $26 million signing bonus.
Making his first major-league start on Saturday, Chicago White Sox right-hander Tyler Danish pitched 5 shutout innings in a 3-0 Game 1 win over the Detroit Tigers.
