Cubs rally from shaky start, early deficit to beat Cardinals
The Chicago Cubs were able to hit their way past a lackluster performance by starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks Thursday night in a 9-6 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Team president Theo Epstein and general manager Jed Hoyer picked up reliever Jesse Chavez from Texas in a deal announced after the game.
