Everyone knows the deal with Navy. The Midshipmen rank third nationally in rushing (279.8 ypg) and figure to be that much better with Dobbs' return. He missed all but two minutes the last two weeks in order to let a knee injury heal.

Charlie Weis likes his team's chances of earning a Bowl Championship Series berth -- if No. 19 Notre Dame keeps winning. Gator Bowl president Rick Catlett does, too. Catlett said the Gator Bowl would love to have a Fighting Irish team that finishes 10-2, but can't imagine it happening.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant is headed to the NFL. Bryant said he plans to enter the 2010 NFL draft, disclosing his intentions late Thursday after the NCAA rejected a final appeal by the school to reinstate the junior All-American who lied about contact with former NFL player Deion Sanders.
