Temple holds off Richmond to claim Atlantic 10 title

Temple is the champion of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament once again. Ryan Brooks hit four free throws over the final 50 seconds and the top-seeded and 17th-ranked Owls won their third straight conference tournament title, holding off a gutty rally by Richmond for a 56-52 victory.

Turner leads Ohio State to Big Ten Tourney championship

Evan Turner didn't need any late-game heroics on Sunday. When it appeared there was nothing more he could do to make his Big Ten tournament performance better, the junior had 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 5 Ohio State over Minnesota 90-61 on Sunday.

Kentucky needs overtime to beat Mississippi State

John Wall scored seven of his 15 points in overtime, and No. 2 Kentucky rallied from five down with 2:28 left in regulation to beat Mississippi State 75-74 on Sunday for the Wildcats' 26th Southeastern Conference tournament championship.

Illinois has been left out of the NCAA tournament for the second time in three seasons. Five other Big Ten teams made the cut. They included Minnesota, which finished behind Illinois in the regular season but made it to the conference tournament final.

Northwestern hopes to learn from last year's NIT debacle
