At a glance:
The Cubs took two of three from the Dodgers last week at Wrigley Field. The starting rotation for the Cubs is in flux because Tyler Chatwood is away with his wife, who was due to give birth. Underwood was a second-round draft pick of the Cubs in 2012. Despite their recent woes against the Reds, the Cubs entered Sunday leading the National League in on-base percentage (.339), and they were third in runs and second in batting average. The Cubs also led the NL in ERA (3.32), while the Dodgers were fifth (3.56). When the Dodgers were in town last week, Kershaw was finishing a stint on the disabled list with back problems. Matt Kemp entered Sunday with a line of .323/.359/.560 with 13 home runs. Max Muncy led the team in homers (14).
