The Pirates took two of three from the Cubs at Wrigley Field in April. So far, the Pirates have been one of the surprise teams in baseball, and they're one of four teams contending for the top spot in the NL Central, along with the Cubs. Pittsburgh entered Sunday third in the NL in runs scored, second in batting average and third in on-base percentage. Their pitchers were ninth in ERA (4.05). The Cubs were first in OBP, second in runs and fourth in batting average. Their pitchers were third in ERA (3.38). Corey Dickerson, a key off-season pickup, had a line of .312/.350/.495 with 5 homers and 31 RBI entering Sunday. Starlin Marte was at .311/.367/.518 with 7 homers and 28 RBI. Gregory Polanco led the Bucs with 8 homers. This is a tough turnaround for the Cubs, who played Sunday night and had to fly to Pittsburgh for a Memorial Day afternoon game.
