Quinn Moriarty fired an 80-pitch no-hitter with 4 strikeouts and no walks in the opener as the Redwings (10-9, 6-3) split in the East Suburban Catholic. Brandon Gorz, who had 3 RBI, and Mike Wymer had 2 hits apiece while Paddy Hincks went 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored.
Wheaton North 6, Glenbard North 5:
Joe Klein's walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Falcons (14-6, 10-3) the DuPage Valley victory. Connor Olson went 2-for-5 with 3 RBI while Jackson Gray went 4-for-5 and Chris Donahue drove in 2 runs. Ryan Russman won on the mound with 2⅔ scoreless innings of relief. Jim Zay tripled twice and had 2 RBI for Glenbard North (6-12, 1-10).
Metea Valley 6, Lake Park 5:
The Mustangs (9-9, 6-7) sent the DuPage Valley game to extra innings with 2 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, then won the game on Jason Kirchner's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Kirchner went 3-for-4 and Spencer Collins drove in 2 runs. Jake Kmiecik was the winning pitcher in relief. Casey Berner went 2-for-4 with a homer and 3 RBI for Lake Park (9-9, 6-7). Zach Aehlert added 2 hits.
Montini 1, St. Joseph 0:
Ben Steiner pitched 6⅔ scoreless innings and Michael Koszewski notched the final out in the Chicago Catholic League shutout victory for the Broncos (12-8, 6-3).
Willowbrook 7, Hinsdale South 4:
A 5-run bottom of the third inning carried the Warriors (14-7, 8-4) to victory in the West Suburban Gold. Marshall McDonnell went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI. Dax Meyer pitched into the seventh inning to earn the win. Matt Uba had 3 hits and Jake Klepacz drove in 2 runs for Hinsdale South (8-8, 4-3).
WW South 7, Waubonsie Valley 4:
The Tigers (8-11, 6-9 DuPage Valley) trailed 4-1 heading to the sixth inning but rallied with 4 runs in the sixth and 2 runs in the seventh. Mitchell Sandleback drove in 2 runs in support of complete-game winning pitcher Mike Meissner. Matt Carmody went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Waubonsie Valley (5-15, 4-10).
Addison Trail 5, Proviso West 0:
Complete-game winning pitcher Matt Crandall struck out 13 in a 2-hitter for the Blazers (10-10). A.J. Parnell drove in 2 runs.
York 10, Richards 5:
The Dukes (14-5) broke open a close game by scoring 7 runs in the sixth inning. Joey Orrico doubled, homered and drove in 2 runs. Ian Steinorth also had 2 RBI. Winning pitcher Jake Hadawi scattered 6 hits in 5 innings.
