Boys track: Davis, Hoffman Estates win at Meadows

Versatile senior Marshall Davis won three events to help Hoffman Estates' boys track and field team pick up victories over host Rolling Meadows and Elk Grove on Tuesday.

Davis excelled in winning the 100-meter dash (11.5), the 200 dash (23.1) and the triple jump (37-11) as Hoffman Estates finished with 77 points. Rolling Meadows had 63 and Elk Grove 29.

Other Hawks winners included Anijel Jones in long jump (20-11½), PJ Rodriguez in the 110 hurdles (15.6), Darian Waits in the 300 hurdles (40.9) and Cameron Kindred in high jump (5-4).

Rolling Meadows had a double winner in Will Rezny, in shot put (55-5¾) and discus (144-11). The Mustangs' Eddie Lennon won the 800 in 2:05.8.

• Hersey's distance strength helped lead to a victory against Conant and Wheeling. The Huskies won the 3,200 relay and the 1,600 relay and the individual 3,200, 1,600 and 800 runs to finish with 74 points. Conant had 63 and Wheeling finished at 45.

Distance winners for Hersey were Colin Safford in the 3,200 (10:16.58), Nate Mayo in the 1,600 (4:29.32) and Jack Fredian in the 800 (2:03.3).
