Girls water polo: West helps Barrington best Fremd
Jackie West scored 6 goals to help the Barrington girls water polo team to a 10-7 Mid-Suburban West victory over visiting Fremd on Monday night.
Brittany Snyder added a pair of goals for the Fillies while Morgan Kelly and Rachel Snyder each had one.
Goalkeeper Rebecca Cheeseman made 12 saves for the Fillies, who trailed 4-3 at half.
Meagan Helsdingen had pair of goals for Fremd while Sophia Kuehn, Emme Beaupre, Sandra Zyworonek, MJ Poss and Brooke Toriani each had one. Vikings goalie Caroline van Roon made 6 saves.
Prospect 14, Rolling Meadows 5: Maggie Goodwin scored 5 goals for Meadows while goalie Liyha Glaser made 12 saves in the MSL East match.
Elk Grove 15 Wheeling 5: Alyssa Bonilla had 4 goals, 3 assists and 1 steal for Elk Grove in the MSL East victory. Goalie Melena Hayes made 12 steals and had 3 assists for the Grens.
Hoffman 6, Palatine 4: Freshman Maggie O'Brien led Palatine with 3 goals while Ellis Nelson added one in the MSL West contest. Goalie Claire Davis stopped five shots.
Conant 10, Schaumburg 8: The Cougars came up with 4 goals in the fourth quarter to get a come-from-behind victory over the Saxons in MSL West play.
Olivia Olszewski paced Conant with 6 goals and Amy Rodriguez had 3.
Kailey Cordova led the scoring effort for Schaumburg with 6 goals.
