Women's volleyball: Harper goes 3-1 in Minnesota
Des Moines Area Community College (IA) snapped the 12-match winning streak of Harper's women's volleyball team with a 26-24, 25-19, 24-26, 25-13 victory at the Rochester Community and Technical College Invitational on Saturday in Minnesota.
Harper is now 11-3 overall.
Breanna Cullen had 24 digs for Harper and was 14-of-16 serving with 2 aces in the match.
Earlier in the day, the Hawks defeated Bismarck State (N.D.) 25-19, 18-25, 25-19, 25-13. Bismarck entered the tourney 11-1.
Hawks libero Ariana Chelini had 30 digs and was 18-of-20 serving with 3 aces Breanna Cullen put down 17 kills and was 17-17 serving.
On Friday, Harper defeated Central Lakes (Minn.) 25-20, 25-18, 25-13 and Northland (Minn.) 25-9, 25-11, 25-20.
Harper setter Emily Huprich had 43 assists against Northland. She was 2 assists shy of the school record in a three-set match.
