Boys soccer: St. Charles North blanks Boylan

Jake Percenico scored off an assist from Bernard Elegbede Saturday as the St. Charles North boys soccer team closed out the Barrington tournament with a 1-0 win over Rockford Boylan.

Bobby Curran made 4 saves in goal for the North Stars (4-1-1).

CL South 6, Johnsburg 1: The Gators (5-1) received a hat trick from Nikolas Getzinger (1 assist) in a commanding win over host Johnsburg. Alex Canfield registered 3 assists to go with his goal while Brad Grabowski, Brandon Wilson and Nick Langdon each came away with goals. Goalie Brandon Gorka managed 2 saves.

Streamwood 2, Conant 1: The Sabres (4-2) wrapped up tournament play 3-1 at Barrington with a win over the Cougars. Jorge Bracamontes and Bryan Mora scored goals while Aldo Lazaro had 1 assist. Keeper Daniel Dominguez made 1 save in goal.

Sandburg 2, Bartlett 1: The Hawks (0-4-1) still remain winless on the year as Marco Noriega's goal on a Carlos Alfaro assist wasn't enough in nonconference action.

Cary-Grove 1, Grant 0: Sam Carhart scored off an assist from Drew Szydlo as the Trojans (1-2-1) picked up their first win of the season. Sergio Lemus had 1 save in goal for the winners.
