Red Stars defender Comeau suffered lung contusion

Chicago Red Stars defender Taylor Comeau suffered a lung contusion after colliding with an opponent in National Women's Soccer League game at Toyota Park in Bridgeview on Saturday.

Comeau was released from the hospital that night.

Team officials said Comeau left the match in the 75th minute after a collision with Washington Spirit midfielder Kristie Mewis and was taken to a hospital for further assessment. Tests revealed she had a lung contusion, team officials said.
