Boys volleyball: Lake Zurich tops Stevenson
Boys volleyball
Lake Zurich d. Stevenson: Alex Krasowski and Jake Gorey each pounded 12 kills, and the host Bears prevailed 23-25, 25-16, 25-16 in North Suburban Conference action.
Bartosz Wielgos added 7 kills and 2 aces for Lake Zurich (18-4, 4-1), and Jeff Carmody dished out 33 assists. The Bears also received 3 blocks from Marcel Wiechnik and 2 aces from Ryan Nix.
Stevenson (18-8, 3-2) was led by Grant Maleski's 9 kills. Leo Chin had 7 kills, and Matt Cliffer contributed four.
