Brandon Kendall allowed just 1 hit over 6 innings with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks Wednesday as Bartlett defeated Glenbard East 8-1 in Upstate Eight Valley baseball action.
Joey Allen had 3 hits including a home run for the Hawks (9-8, 4-3) while Andrew Fehr added 2 hits and Martin Moreno had a double and an RBI.
Streamwood 9, Elgin 5: Winning pitcher Adam Sojda had 2 hits and an RBI, Jose Aguilar a double and 2 RBI and AJ Reyna 2 hits with a double and an RBI to lead Streamwood (9-9, 5-7) to this UEC River win. Jack Sitter had 3 hits and 2 RBI for Elgin (3-14, 2-8).
St. Charles East 11, Larkin 4: Niko Plaskowy had 3 hits with a double and an RBI and John Dellostritto added 2 hits and 2 RBI as St. Charles East (15-4, 10-1) swept the season series from Larkin. Thomas Adams (2 RBI) and Jack Jordan (RBI) added doubles for the Saints. Niko Klebosits was the winning pitcher, allowing 4 hits with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in 5 innings. Andy Bonnet and Jackson Reuter had 2 hits each for Larkin (7-12, 4-10).
St. Charles North 10, Geneva 0: The North Stars (17-2, 12-1) swept the series with Geneva behind a 2-hitter from Nick Skurka, who struck out 6 and didn't walk a batter. Anthony Delisi (3 hits), Zach Mettetal (2 hits), Tyler Mettetal (5 hits, 3 doubles, 3 RBI), Sam Faith (2 hits, 2B, 2 RBI) and Brandon Norberg (2B, RBI) led the SCN offense. Jeremy Davis and Graham Owen had the only hits for Geneva (11-7, 9-4).
Burlington Central 9, Woodstock North 0: Brandon Van Buren allowed 1 hit in 5 innings with 9 strikeouts and 4 walks as the Rockets (15-3, 7-0) won in the Kishwaukee River. Clay Milas had 3 hits with an RBI for BC while David Lauber had a double and 3 RBI and Josh Noeska 3 hits with a double and 2 RBI.
Dundee-Crown 9, Prairie Ridge 6: Scott Wojcik had a double, home run and 5 RBI to lead the Chargers to this Fox Valley Conference win. Erik Hedmark added 2 hits with a double and an RBI for D-C (8-10, 5-9) and Sean Jay had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Benjamin Schilf picked up the win in relief.
ACC 18, St. Edward 6: Johnny Belskis had 2 hits with a triple and 4 RBI and Michael Bieterman had a home run and 4 RBI to lead Aurora Central (14-5-1, 5-2) to a Metro Suburban win. Austin Berens (2 RBI) and Jake Gallagher (RBI) added doubles for the Chargers. John Cosgrave picked up the win. Daniel Falco had 2 hits with a double and 3 RBI for St. Edward (4-16, 3-10) and Nolan Theriault added 2 hits with a double.
Glenbard West 9, Batavia 5: Quinn O'Brien (3 hits, RBI), Jake Robinson (2B), Brent Norkus (2B, 2 RBI) and Jared Martin (2 hits, 2B) led Batavia (6-10) in this nonconference loss.
Harvest Christian 9, Christian Liberty 0: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, Grant Young (RBI), winning pitcher Brock Wilken (2 hits, 2B, 2 RBI), Drew Lewis (2 hits, 2B, 2 RBI), Dominik Olech (2B, RBI) and Zach Pawelek (2B) led Harvest (16-4, 7-1) to the win.
