Casino announcement likely on Monday

The Illinois Gaming Board will likely announce Monday which suburban location will snare the state's 10th and last casino license, the agency announced Thursday.

Three suburban locations are home to the three companies that are finalists in the competition for the casino license: Rosemont, Waukegan and Des Plaines.

The gaming board scheduled a public meeting to announce the winner, but reserved the right to postpone the announcement if it has not finalized its decision by Monday.

The board meets in closed sessino from 9-11 a.m. and then in open session for the announcement at 11 a.m. in Chicago.
