A Carpentersville man was accused Wednesday of fondling a 14-year-old girl in a private swimming pool. Edward L. Zimbler, 47, of 53 Robin Road, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, delivery of alcohol to a minor and permitting a minor to become intoxicated, police said.

Naperville Unit District 203 Superintendent Alan Leis will retire at the end of this school year after roughly 40 years in education. Leis, soon to be 60, notified the school board several months ago, but his decision was not made public until Wednesday.
