The president and CEO of Provena St. Joseph Hospital will be leaving at the end of the month. William Brown, who has served in the role since 2002, has resigned to "pursue another business opportunity within the health care sector," according to a news release.

The state's attorney's office helped generate $4.2 million last year in revenue that will remain in Kane County, officials announced Tuesday. The funds came from a variety of unpredictable sources, including $1.2 million in unpaid court fines and fees the office was able to collect in arrears and $900,000 in forfeited bond money.
