Woman's death ruled an accidental drowning

A 42-year-old woman's death Friday in unincorporated Maine Township has been ruled an accidental drowning by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Shortly after noon on Friday, officials said, Cook County sheriff's police were called to the 9700 block of Sumac Road near Des Plaines.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was found at the bottom of the deep end of a swimming pool and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
