Man injured in Aurora shooting

Aurora police are looking for witnesses to a shooting that injured a 27-year-old Aurora man late Thursday.

In a Facebook post, police said the victim was walking on the 700 block of South Farnsworth Avenue around 11:20 p.m. when a green Jeep with several men inside pulled up.

One of the men fired at him, hitting him twice in his arm, he told police.

The Jeep then pulled away, heading southbound on Farnsworth.

The victim walked home, and a family member took him to an Aurora hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police said they have no description of the suspects. They said the shooting does not appear to be random.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
