Hey Nonny announces new chamber music series

Hey Nonny, the new music club in downtown Arlington Heights, announced Thursday a new chamber music series beginning Dec. 9.

Called Bubble Chamber, the shows will take place weekly at 4 p.m. Sundays, pairing a wide variety of informal chamber music with bubbly beverages.

Bubble Chamber will be anchored by the Fifth House Ensemble, performing six shows in the first six months of the series schedule. The group, known for taking chamber music beyond the traditional boundaries of classical music, kicks things off Dec. 9 with North by North Pole, a twisted take on holiday music.

On Dec. 16, Stefan and Alexander Hersh will lead an all-Beethoven show as Hey Nonny celebrates the composer's 248th birthday. The Gaudette Brass Quintet will perform their Holiday Brass show Dec. 23, followed by Fareed Haque and Goran Ivanovic's Guitar Magic on Dec. 30.

Tickets for most chamber music shows begin at $18 for cabaret table seats. They are available at heynonny.com.
