Bustling Libertyville farmers market celebrates 38 years

More than 40 vendors took over Cook Park and Church Street in Libertyville on Thursday for the weekly farmers market, which is celebrating its 38th year.

Vendors sold fresh-cut flowers, fruits and vegetables, bread, garlic and apple products.

Local restaurants served a variety of treats, and service-related vendors visited with shoppers.

The kids had fun thanks to a face painting booth and a balloon artist.

The market is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 18. For more information and a list of special events at the market, visit libertyvillefarmersmarket.org.
