Genealogy resources available at Schaumburg library

More digital genealogy resources are available at the Schaumburg Township District Library due to its recent designation as a FamilySearch Affiliate Library.

Accessible on computers at the central library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg, as well as its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park, the FamilySearch website allows users to search their ancestry for free.

The benefit of using FamilySearch at the library lies in the amount of digital data, which is far more than a person can access from home.

To use FamilySearch, a person need only connect to the free STDL Wi-Fi, on either a personal laptop or one of the library's computers, then go to familyseach.org.

For answers to questions about FamilySearch at the library, contact genealogist Tony Kierna at (847) 923-3390 or akierna@stdl.org.
