TreeKeepers course offered in Arlington Heights

Registration is open for a free course in Arlington Heights for residents who want to keep trees healthy. Sponsored by the Openlands conservation group, the TreeKeepers course takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 10 to Aug. 2, at Arlington Heights public works, 222 N. Ridge Ave.

About 1,900 volunteers have been trained through TreeKeepers since 1991. The TreeKeepers course allows residents to keep trees healthy, administering proper care and promptly recognizing and reporting harmful pests.
