Arlington Heights seeks nominees for Kenneth Hood Senior Service Award

The Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission is seeking nominations for the 10th annual Kenneth Hood Senior Service Award, given in recognition of those who exhibit a history of excellent service to the senior community and have embraced or nurtured activities that positively affect the lives of the seniors.

An award nomination form can be filled out online via the village's website, or can be sent by calling the Senior Center at (847) 253-5532. The deadline is July 1.

Candidates must reside, work or volunteer in the Village of Arlington Heights.

This award is named after Kenneth Hood because of his dedicated service to the seniors of Arlington Heights. After his retirement from the business world, he served on and then chaired the Senior Citizens Commission. He also was one of the early and longest-term members of the board of directors of Arlington Heights Senior Center, Inc., as well as president of the organization.
