Libertyville Days parade features more bands

The Libertyville Days festival kicked into high Saturday with its annual parade.

The 2018 parade grand marshals were longtime Libertyville Days and Civic Center volunteers Art and Nancy Kopp, who have spent decades involved with volunteering with the festival.

Art is the former president of the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation. Nancy Kopp spent numerous years as the Libertyville Days Parade chairwoman, spending a great deal of time coordinating parade entries and ensuring the parade would step off each year without issue, organizers said.

This year's parade featured some new entries that were different from previous years, including more bands than ever before.
