District 220 board honors middle school student for victory on track

Barrington Area Unit District 220 board members this week honored a middle school student for her track excellence. Barrington Middle School-Prairie Campus student Kathleen Baker was recognized for winning the Class 8AA 200- and 400-meter dashes in Illinois Elementary School Association competition. In addition to her athletic skills, Kathleen was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She'll be a freshman at Barrington High School for the 2018-19 academic year.
