MainStreet Libertyville's farmers market opens for the season Thursday in Cook Park downtown.

The market is open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays through Oct. 18. Many returning vendors offer fresh produce, artisanal breads, pastries, flowers, cheeses, free range meats and eggs, kettle corn, pickles, olives, mushrooms, organic vegetables, sauces, local honey, goat milk products, appetizers, empanadas and homemade dog treats.
