Man pulled from river in North Aurora dies

Authorities are trying to identify a man who died after being pulled out of the Fox River Sunday afternoon in North Aurora.

Foul play is not suspected, according to Kane County Coroner Rob Russell. An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday.

The unconscious man was found about 20 feet from the eastern bank at 5:10 p.m., a quarter-mile north of a run-of-the-river lowhead dam. A police officer pulled him out, and firefighters administered CPR as they took him to Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.
