Arlington Heights hosts senior health and fitness event May 30

The Arlington Heights Senior Center is hosting a National Senior Health & Fitness Day event from 8:30 a.m. until noon Wednesday, May 30.

The Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, will join organizations across the U.S. to celebrate this day with a shared goal of helping to keep older Americans healthy and fit. The event is free.

The day includes free health screenings, as well as informational presentations and demonstrations. The keynote speaker is Mary Helen Ekstam from JourneyCare who will be talking at 11 a.m. on "Music and the Brain" in Room 183 of the Senior Center.

A free tote bag will be given to the first 300 guests, along with free breakfast snacks. Prize drawings will be held after the 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. presentations. You must be present to win.
