Seminar on how to prevent stroke May 23 in Arlington Heights

Northwest Community Healthcare will host a free community event Wednesday, May 23, to educate the public about the warning signs of a stroke and how to prevent it.

The evening will kick off with a health fair, food and giveaways from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Four stroke specialists and two stroke survivors will follow, giving educational presentations from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The recovering stroke patients - a 36-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man - will share their stories and experiences with treatment and recovery.
