Help clean Palatine's Margreth Riemer Reservoir

The Palatine Jaycees and Palatine Park District are combining to sponsor a community cleanup Sunday, May 6, at the Margreth Riemer Reservoir.

The effort to collect trash and remove invasive plant species is set from noon to 3 p.m. at the park, located at Palatine and Quentin roads.

In addition to the Jaycees and park district, other organizations scheduled to participate include Palatine Rotary, Palatine Kiwanis, Palatine Knights of Columbus, Palatine Sons of the American Legion and Rolling Meadows Rotary.

"We are excited to work with the Palatine Park District, village and other organizations to lead this cleanup effort," said Palatine Jaycees project co-chair Ryan Rivard. "We, and other organizations in our community, believe if we work together we can keep Palatine a clean, safe and enjoyable place to live."
