Flash flood watch for suburbs until 10 a.m. today

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for northern Illinois and Indiana.

The flash flood watch is in effect until 10 a.m. in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties, the National Weather Service said on its website.

Thunderstorms are expected to end this morning.

Scattered storms are possible this afternoon. Some of those storms could become severe with possible damaging winds and hail.

A high of 75 degrees is expected Thursday, then dip to 59 degrees overnight. It will be 73 degrees Friday.
