Police: Pair found with meth near Naperville school

Two people who were in possession of crystal methamphetamine, Xanax and cannabis Tuesday near Naperville's Neuqua Valley High School are now facing drug charges, authorities said Wednesday.

Cmdr. Lou Cammiso said the Naperville Police Department's Special Operations Group conducted a monthlong investigation into methamphetamine sales, which led to the arrests of Lisa Nguyen, 31, of the 6000 block of Higgins Avenue in Chicago, and David Brenner, 37, of the 1500 block of Floyd Brown Lane in Glendale Heights.

Nguyen has been charged with felony possession of between 5 and 15 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and Brenner has been charged with felony possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, authorities said. Nguyen also has been charged with offenses related to license plate and windshield issues, Will County records show.

Cammiso said detectives took Nguyen and Brenner into custody on the 3000 block of Cedar Glade Drive, which intersects with 95th Street near Neuqua Valley, the Frontier Sports Complex and the 95th Street Library. Detectives seized an undisclosed amount of drugs found on the suspects, including methamphetamine as well as cannabis and the prescription anti-anxiety medication Xanax.

Both suspects were taken to jail in Will County, where online records showed they remained in custody Wednesday.
