Chicago man charged with unlawful weapons use in Kane County

A Chicago man was charged Wednesday with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in Kane County, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The Kane County state's attorney's office charged Marquis M. Williams, 21, of the 4400 block of Greenwood Avenue, after police connected him to a firearm found during a traffic stop on Saturday, police said,

The officer noted the smell of marijuana coming from the car, and during the search that followed, a handgun was found in a backpack in back seat, police said.
