Portion of roof to be replaced at Dryden Elementary in Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 will replace a portion of the roof at Dryden Elementary School due to repeated leaks and the age of the roofing system, officials said.

The roofing sections to be replaced are primarily over the main office, entrance and lobby area. The work is intended to extend the useful life of the building and prevent widespread water damage, District 25 officials said.

The $320,980 project was approved last week by the school board, along with more than $1 million of other building work throughout the district, including districtwide HVAC upgrades and flooring replacements, new lighting at South Middle School, and a chiller at Patton Elementary.
