New Prospect associate principal named
Veteran educator Kara Kendrick has been appointed the next associate principal at Prospect High School.
Kendrick is currently Northwest Suburban High School District 214's director of specialized programs, overseeing the district's therapeutic day program, The Academy at Forest View, and the district's transitional program, LIFE.
She joined District 214 in 2013 after serving as a dean at Naperville North and Maine South high schools and special education teacher at Normal Community High School and Chiddix Junior High School.
Current Prospect Associate Principal Greg Minter was selected in January to be the school's new principal, replacing Michelle Dowling upon her retirement this summer. Kendrick's appointment was approved last week by the school board.
