Des Plaines District 62 hosting public forums on strategic plan

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 will host a pair of community forums next month to get feedback from the public and other stakeholders as part of its strategic plan process.

Students, staff, parents and residents will all have the opportunity to provide input. The planning will examine the district's mission, vision, and values, help identify long-range goals and create critical strategy action plans.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to review district data about academics, finance, facilities, technology, and the learning and work environment. They will also be able to provide their opinions on the district's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

The community meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m., March 7, at Algonquin Middle School, 767 E. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines; and 7:30 p.m. March 13, Chippewa Middle School, 123 N. Eighth Ave., Des Plaines Spanish translation will be provided at the March 13 forum.
