Naperville man charged with entering woman's bedroom early Saturday

A 23-year-old Naperville man was behind bars in the DuPage County jail on Sunday facing allegations he unlawfully entered a woman's bedroom early Saturday, police said.

Deonte Ware, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, is charged with felony criminal trespass to land stemming from the incident on the 900 block of Fairway Drive, authorities said.

According to Naperville police, officers were called to a residence there at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday on a report of a man in the victim's bedroom. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers' arrival, and there were no injuries reported, police said.

Naperville crime scene technicians and investigators developed a suspect and hours later took Ware into custody, police said.

Ware is being held without bond pending a scheduled court appearance Monday. The charge against him is a Class 4 felony, punishable by a maximum one to three years in prison or probation.
