Learn about Oakton's Engineering Pathways Program

High school seniors are invited to learn about the "Engineering Pathways Program" at Oakton Community College by attending a free information session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the college's Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Room C120.

Qualifying students who satisfactorily complete the program requirements at Oakton are guaranteed admission to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to complete a four-year engineering degree.

Starting at Oakton can save students more than $30,000 in tuition over two years while providing them access to advisers from both Oakton and University of Illinois, officials said.

Another information session is scheduled Wednesday, March 7, at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Registration is required and may be completed at www.oakton.edu/admission/visiting/visit_us/engineering_pathways.php.

For more information, call Oakton's Office of Student Recruitment and Outreach at (847) 635-1835.
