Snow makes for hazardous evening commute
Another round of accumulating snow hit the suburbs today, making for a slow and hazardous evening commute.
Up to 5 inches of snow in total 0could fall in parts of northeast Illinois, according to the National Weather Service. Snowfall was heavy by rush hour, which resulted in reduced visibility and snow-covered roads. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use caution and leave extra time to reach their destinations.
The winter weather could continue throughout the week, with forecasters calling for chances of snow Wednesday and Friday.
Temperatures are expected to climb to the low 30s by the end of the week.
