Kindergarten registration set for Des Plaines Elementary District 62

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 will hold kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, at all elementary schools.

Registering kindergarten students at this time helps District 62 plan ahead and make appropriate accommodations. Parents should go to their neighborhood school to register. Kindergarten students entering District 62 for the 2018-2019 school year must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1.

To register, parents or guardians must bring the child's original birth certificate and proof of residence. Parents can apply to the county clerk in the county where their child was born to receive a copy of the birth certificate.

Registration forms, immunization requirements and other materials will be distributed at each school. Parents may also register children for "Extended Day Kindergarten" during kindergarten registration.
