Program on how to prevent identity theft in Arlington Heights
State Sen. Tom Rooney will host a free identity theft and consumer fraud prevention program Monday, Jan. 29, at Arlington Heights village hall.
Representatives from AARP will provide tips on fraud prevention, including steps to protect against identity theft, scam artists and fraudulent businesses, and how to check credit reports and file a consumer fraud complaint.
The event is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the third-floor village board room, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
