No injuries reported in fire in Naperville Wednesday night

A fire in a home on the 1000 block of Erb Farm Court in Naperville remains under investigation, authorities said late Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to the single-family home at 8:07 p.m. from a resident saying their house was full of smoke.

The first firefighters on the scene confirmed all residents had evacuated the house and were not hurt.

Firefighters discovered fire on the first floor of the home. It was rapidly extinguished, authorities said.

The home was deemed uninhabitable, authorities said.

It remains under investigation by members of the Naperville Fire Investigation Team.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Naperville Police Department, Naperville Transportation Engineering and Development Team, Naperville Electric, Naperville Water Department, and NICOR. The Warrenville Fire Protection District assisted by providing station coverage.

The American Red Cross also assisted on scene and will be providing support to the stricken family.
