Sheriff's office at town hall

The Lake County Sheriff's Office will discuss issues such as the opioid crisis, the "A Way Out" program and other law enforcement initiatives at a town hall meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Woodland Elementary School West cafeteria, 17371 W Gages Lake Road, Grayslake.

Through "A Way Out," a person in need of substance abuse treatment can walk into one of three sheriff's facilities - in Waukegan, Libertyville and Fox Lake - and receive assistance in getting into a treatment center.

"We look forward to meeting to discuss public safety issues," Sheriff Mark Curran said in a news release. "The Lake County Sheriff's Office believes that everyone must work together as partners to provide a safe community."

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, email RepSamYingling@gmail.com or call (847) 231-6262.
