Students become turkeys for extravaganza show

Students paraded around like turkeys -- while wearing paper gobbler hats -- as they performed during Monday's Thanksgiving Extravaganza at Townline Elementary School.

Parents filled the Vernon Hills school's gym to watch almost 150 kindergarten and first-graders sing songs, dance and recite poetry with a Thanksgiving theme.

The program finished with teachers joining their students as they danced to the "Turkey Hokey Pokey" and they shook their tails all about.
