Man shot to death in Hainesville

A 38-year-old man died early Saturday following a shooting in Hainesville, authorities said.

The man's name was not released by police because his family had not been notified.

Grayslake police were sent to the 100 block of West Big Horn Drive in Hainesville about 11:30 p.m. Friday following a complaint of domestic violence, according to a news release.

On arrival, police found the man facedown and wounded in the driveway. Three other occupants of the home were outside, too, as was the gun used to shoot the man, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m. Saturday.

No charges have been filed.

Police called the shooting an isolated incident and said the public isn't in danger.

The Lake County coroner's office will perform an autopsy Monday.

Grayslake police were not available Saturday to answer additional questions.
