Veterans Day in DuPage County

The following are among the Veterans Day events happening Saturday, Nov. 11, in DuPage County.

• Naperville will observe Veterans Day with a remembrance ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Park on Gartner Avenue across the street from Grace United Methodist Church. The Naperville Municipal Band will perform patriotic music. Info: (630) 355-7664.

• A Veterans Day Breakfast and Ceremony is 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Salt Creek Golf Club, 701 W. Thorndale Ave., Wood Dale. Breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Ceremony immediately follows at Veterans Memorial Park, 269 W. Irving Park Road, Wood Dale. Info: wooddale.com.

• A Veterans Day Breakfast takes place 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at White Pines Golf Club, 500 W. Jefferson St., Bensenville. Free to Bensenville residents who are veterans and their spouses and children; $6 others. Info: bensenvilleparkdistrict.org.

• Brew It Forward Veterans Day takes place 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton. Charity beer-tasting benefits local veterans organizations. Activities for families. Free admission. Info: fdmuseum.org.

• A Veterans Day Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Memorial Park, 220 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights. Flag and color guard presentation. Free. Info: glendaleheights.org.

• A Veterans Day Parade starts at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Benton and Broadway in Aurora, and ends at the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall for an "Honoring All Who Served" ceremony. • Lombard Veterans Day Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Veterans Memorial in Lombard Commons Park, 498 E. St. Charles Road, Lombard. Includes music and a bell-ringing ceremony to remember veterans who have died during the past year. Info: (630) 620-5700.

• The Elmhurst College Wind Ensemble and American Legion T.H.B.
