Nature's clean up crew

"Vultures: Nature's Clean Up Crew" is the topic of the Lake County Audubon Society's first meeting of the new program year from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at the Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave. Stephanie Touzalin, naturalist for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, will discuss vultures and their role in the environment, their distribution and status worldwide, and some fun facts about this often-maligned bird. She will also bring feathers, a skull and other items of interest. The meeting is free and open to the public. Children are welcome. Visit http://www.lakecountyaudubon.org/.
