Schaumburg Township Wellness Day Sept. 13
Schaumburg Township will host its seventh annual Community Wellness Day from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.
Free health screenings will be available to residents. A1C Glucose screenings will be $12 for a 90-day reading, while adult vaccinations including pneumonia, tetanus, shingles and flu carry a small cost.
Flu vaccinations are free for those with Medicare Part B, or $25 without such insurance. Residents getting vaccinations should bring their prescription insurance and/or Medicare cards.
The fair also will include raffle prizes and giveaways, ASL interpreters, therapy dogs, a sleep study questionnaire and home access solutions including a working chair lift.
Free health screenings will be available for skin cancer, memory, bone density, senior fitness, blood pressure, and spinal health and posture. For more information, call (847) 884-0030 ext. 3015.
