Yingling seeks members for women's advisory committee

State Rep. Sam Yingling is inviting local women to join his Women's Issues Citizens' Advisory Committee, which will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at his constituent services office, 1919 Route 83, Round Lake Beach. Yingling said he wants to know local concerns and how best to advocate in Springfield for common-sense measures to protect women's access to health care. Yingling recently helped pass laws removing the statute of limitations for sexual crimes against children and expanding insurance coverage for breast cancer screenings for women at a higher risk of developing difficult-to-detect tumors. Residents of the 62nd District are invited to join the committee. For information or to RSVP, call (847) 231-6262 or email RepSamYingling@gmail.com.
